Approximately 40% of Bamstone’s factory will now be supplied by Green Energy after recent instalment of over 100 Kilo watts of solar panels on the factory’s roof space.

The installation is just one aspect of the company’s three stage Green Energy program commitment. Stage one and two involved the installation of LED lighting and power correction units throughout the stone cutting facility.

During stage three, Bamstone reached out to local energy system supplier Middy’s Electrical to achieve their goal and commitment to lower their carbon footprint and reduce costs in energy.

“The installation of the solar Green Energy panels marks an exciting new era of innovation at Bamstone. It’s a project that we are really proud of and hope that other local and regional businesses will be inspired by our adoption of sustainable energy” said company Director Michael Steel.

The solar installation was officially unveiled by the Governor of Victoria, Linda Dessau at the Bamstone factory.
