Bamstone is delighted to have supplied our Australian Bluestone to yet another Gold Medal and Best in Show winning garden at the 2017 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show! This win means we have had the privilege of working with a successful Best in Show winning team for four consecutive years!
The winning garden was “I See Wild”, designed by Phillip Withers Landscape Design and constructed by Avoca Landscapes. We would like to thank Phillip and his team for partnering with us in this collaborative display and for providing us with the opportunity to showcase our products in such a remarkable and unique way. A special element we would like to highlight in “I See Wild” was the installation of custom engraved Bluestone pavers. The Warrnambool Clontarf Academy together with Mr Robbie Lowe Snr. designed, created and carved these pavers at Bamstone, with the aim of telling a story through the Indigenous symbols engraved into the pavers. Everyone at Bamstone thoroughly enjoyed working with this fantastic group of young men and can’t wait for the next opportunity to work together again. Well done to everyone in the photo above on this huge success! (the Phillip Withers team, the Warrnambool Clontarf Academy and Michael Steel from Bamstone).
Bamstone was also priviledged to supply Bluestone to two other award winning show gardens at MIFGS 2017. “Echelon” designed by Cycas Landscape Design and constructed by Kiama Pools and Landscapes received a Silver Medal and “An Urban Sanctuary” created by landscape designer Charlie Albone, was awarded a Bronze Medal. We would like to congratulate both Mark Browning of Cycas Landscapes and Charlie Albone for their achievements this year. Both were stunning designs and we thoroughly enjoyed helping to bring both “Echelon” and “An Urban Sanctuary” to life.
