The Quarry House is a timeless four-bedroom family home on a corner site in the heart of Brighton, Melbourne. Bamstone bluestone wraps the external facade and is featured as paving in the outdoor entertaining space. Bringing the outdoors in, Bamstone flows into the home’s interior space via large feature wall pillars, complementing the natural wooden architectural elements throughout. With high ceiling details and large open living spaces, a simplistic and timeless interior oasis has been created.

Awards: 2018 Victorian Architecture Awards: Listed in Best New Residential Architecture.

“As architects and designers we are always looking to create timeless homes which will stand the test of time. Choosing the materiality when designing the Quarry House was made easy as we knew the quality and consistency of Bamstone bluestone would see the home sit proudly for many years to come – Alex Ferrier, Finnis Architecture.
